Our poster celebrates the name of Allah. In Islamic aesthetic theory, calligraphy is one of the design fundamentals of Islamic art and considered the highest branch of art; the name of ‘Allah’ is the single most important word in the Islamic context. Inspirational object: LNS 2 CA a-b is a leaf from a Qur’an manuscript, probably from Tunisia (Qayrawan) form the first half of the 10th century. 30.7 cm wide, the recto begins within verse 49 and continues into verse 51 of Chapter XXIII; verse continues into verse 52.
