Our Mughal bird pendant is inspired by a Mughal pendant from 17th century CE. Made exclusively for DAI, it is 24 Kt gold plating on pewter.
Inspirational object: LNS 1215 J is a Pendant; gold, enamelled and set with rubies, diamonds and emeralds;
with a pendant pearl and single polyhedral bail with remains of green enamel. The front, decorated at the centre with a stylized floral plant formon which perches a bird with its head turned backwards. The back, decorated with fine enamelling featuring a single stemmed quatrefoil with toothed petals, flanked by large toothed leaves and two tulips on a gold ground bordered by a fine groove containing remains of white enamel.
