Description
Our DAI wood encased tape measure in metric (200 mm) & Imperial (78.74 inches). The engraved design was inspired by the centre portion of LNS 137, but instead reads Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah. Inspirational object: LNS 137 M from the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah collection is made of patterned steel (jawhar), hammered, acid-etched, hatched and overlaid with gold. It features a pious Arabic saying al’Allahi fi kul il omuri tawakuli ‘Rely on God in all matters’. Iranian world, 11/12th century AH / 17/18th century AD.
