Round box with Khufic design

Our exclusive Dawlat al-Kuwait round box is made of etched nickle-plated brass, exclusively for DAI in India it is inscribed with Dawlat al-Kuwait, Hafizuha Allah (God is the Protector of the State of Kuwait).

This square kufic inscription was designed by Manuel Keene, former curator of The al-Sabah Collection & expert in kufic calligraphy, during the 1990-91 occupation of Kuwait. Kufic calligraphy is a discipline involving the composition of rigorous designs on a square grid in which letter forms & ‘background’ are of the same dimensions and of equal design impact”
