Roundel letter opener (red)

Description

Our hand-tooled Roundel letter opener in nickel plated copper was made in India exclusively for DAI. It is adorned with an etched & enamel painted roundel with the Arabic inscription: al’Allahi fi kul il omuri tawakuli (Rely on God in all matters). Inspirational object: LNS 137 M is a decorative steel roundel inlaid with gold, the central circle with an elaborate calligraphic device. From the Iranian world, 17th – 18th century, the Jawhar (watered) steel is pierced, engraved and inlaid.
