Description
These clip-on earrings were inspired by two of the Mughal shield bosses from the 17th century CE. Made exclusively for DAI, it is 24 Kt gold plating on pewter.
Inspiration object: LNS 209 J a Mughal shield, its design consists of a hemispherical centre, with compoundly lobed perimeter rendering a twenty-petal rosette. The domed section consists of seven flowers with the six petaled rosette centre, sorrounded by six flowers of similar make-up. Between each three flowers is a leaf set with a small emerald. Mughal India (perhaps Deccan), 17th Century CE.
