These stamps are issued to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah and honour the founder of The al-Sabah Collection, Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah (may he rest in peace). The stamps feature beautiful drawings of eleven objects from the collection, each representing a unique media, geographic origin or period of art in the Islamic world. The final stamp, in the 12 stamp pane, features a portrait of Sheikh Nasser (1948-2020). These elegant Kuwait postage stamps commemorate and continue the worthy goals of Sheikh Nasser and the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah.
