They represent the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah, The al-Sabah Collection and honour the founder of the collection, Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah (1948-2020). The detailed, realistic drawings, beautifully done by Dr. Zainab T. Alibrahim, illustrate a unique media, geographic origin or period. The selected objects also represent the rich philosophical and artistic diversity of the civilization of the Islamic world.
