“Kufic” Square Metal Box

Description

 This nickel-plated brass box is made in india exclusively for DAI. The design is inspired by LNS 338 S a marble tombstone, carved with a four-part repetition of the names of the Prophet Muhammad and Imam ‘Ali in Kufic, and in thuluth on the upper and lower edges with a couplet in Persian. Iranian world, 7th-8th century AH/CE 13th-14th century CE.
